Family programme summary

Families with children aged 7+ on holidays in Ireland have the opportunity to learn English in the mornings in level-matched and age-suitable classes. Adults (parents, grandparents or adult children) participate in our General English intensive courses, teenagers aged 12 to 17 attend level-matched junior programme while children aged 7+ can learn English at the same time in the  Young Learners’ Club (please see below for details). The adult programme takes place in our year-round school – (see here for the school location details)  while both junior programmes (for under 12s and teenagers) are run on a nearby campus (4 tram stops away). Class and opening times are synchronised between the two locations to ensure smooth drop-off in the mornings and pick-up in the afternoons. Children aged 12 and older can also take part in an optional afternoon programme as well as all-day Saturday trips. For more information please see details of the Summer Programme for Teenagers. All participating families benefit from the city centre location close to many tourist attractions and shopping areas. Families can also book all day Saturday and Sunday tours to several locations outside Dublin.

Young Learners’ Club (AGES: 7-11) Monday – Friday 9:15AM-12:30PM

Morning English classes for children follow a topic-based syllabus with a combination of interactive tasks and small projects. In order to keep children busy and interested, the teacher uses an array of engaging games, arts and crafts activities and drama. Most activities are held in a classroom but the teacher may also use the school sports hall, outdoor playing pitches or bring the class on a short excursion to a park or a museum (with the help of our friendly and experienced youth leaders). The main features:

  • 3 hours of classes run by native English speakers
  • children from different countries
  • a mixture of different activities to help children communicate in English and gain confidence
  • fun-filled programme

English Summer School for teenagers (AGES: 12 to 17):  Monday – Friday 9:15AM- 5PM

Our programme for teenagers has taken place every summer since 2011. Classes have a weekly theme combined with level appropriate grammar and vocabulary. Students present end-ofweek projects every Friday. Elements of Cambridge exam preparation are also included. In the afternoons the school provides workshops, sports activities, museum visits, city tours and games. The students are supervised by our team of experienced teachers and youth leaders. Adult English classes (AGES: 18+):  Monday – Friday 9:15AM- 12:30PM plus optional afternoon sessions

For details please see the course description at adult English courses.
